We are using the same curriculum we were using at home on days that James has to work and then on his days off we work on site-specific lessons. For example yesterday we read several books about WWII and then walked down to the USS Lexington and spent lots of time exploring the ship.
The Walk to our field trip:
Right away we ran in to World War II veteran Don Bidding who was happy to answer a few of the girls' questions. (Absolutely the coolest part of our day!)
This really struck a nerve with me. All healthcare workers should really think about this:
