Introduction

James and I recently decided to sell all our furniture, put our house on the market, and begin living a nomadic life. To do this, James took a job as a travel nurse. Most assignments will be thirteen weeks long. We have already been homeschooling our kids for two years so that is not new. What is new are the amazing learning opportunities that we have already begun to benefit from only three days in. I'll post more on that later. For now I just want to say that my main reason for starting this blog is that we needed an easy way to keep a journal of our travels that didn't need to be packed and taken with us every three months. Also, while we were researching the idea of travel nursing as a family, we couldn't find a lot of information from people who were actually doing it. Hopefully, those who are thinking of doing something similar will find this blog helpful. And finally- I want to be able to keep friends and family updated without being a super annoying Facebook friend. So if you are interested in seeing where our travels take us and the interesting things we are all learning about feel free to follow us here. I'll also try to get James to write some posts about the actual travel nursing aspect of it for those who may be interested in that.

James' first day: Bye-Bye ETMC green, Hello Christus Spohn blue !

  2. Your family will be in our prayers daily. Even though we don't spend daily time with each other, our family will miss seeing you family out and about. Be safe. Give those babies a hug from us.
