So I guess a good blogger would post more than once a month...so I'm not a great blogger but my goal is to try to keep track of all the things we have done while traveling and to give people a good idea of what travel nursing is like with a family. Our last month in Corpus Christi was very busy. We tried to fit every last thing in that we had hoped to do. The hospital James was working at offered him a full time position with very tempting benefits and when he turned that down, they asked him to renew his contract. We just had to remind ourselves the whole reason we are doing this is to travel and experience different parts of the country. This is how we spent the last part of our time in Corpus (which we already miss!):

Padre Island National Seashore- A must see!

The girls are learning how to identify different shells and bones, which was one of the requirements for their Junior Ranger Badge. |

We almost decided not to go here. That would have been a huge mistake! This place is gorgeous! Clean beaches, beautiful water and restrooms steps away:) |
|
James and I were way too impressed with this one-legged seagull. We took like 30 pictures of it. |
We learned about sea turtles in science last year and now we got to actually observe their release into the ocean!
|
The workers are waving those flags/streamers to scare away the seagulls. |
|
Every time one of the little guys would reach the water the crowd cheered. |

The girls saying the Junior Ranger Oath and receiving their badges and certificates. |
This was one of my favorite places. We went to the Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures. They have a class every Saturday called Fly Me to Asia. This day the we learned all about the country of Indonesia. The girls spent a few hours with two very nice people from Indonesia and one lady from Japan. They were all so excited to share their culture with the kids.
